We are seeking a freelance Python & PowerShell consultant on behalf of our client for a project focused on automating remote software updates for critical systems.

About the role

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing a robust solution enabling software deployment without manual intervention. The project requires close collaboration with the client’s team in Copenhagen, and full-time on-site presence is expected throughout the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test Windows images
• Build a PowerShell-based Orchestrator module for updating images and applications
• Set up an integration pipeline for testing and deployment
• Integrate Orchestrator with MSI installation and ensure secure logging during updates and incidents
• Support troubleshooting through logging and automated diagnostic tools

Your profile

• Strong skills in PowerShell and Python
• Experience with MSI packages and installation automation
• Knowledge of security and diagnostics in critical environments
• Focus on test-driven development and documentation
• Understanding of embedded software is an advantage
