A leading Danish audio technology company is looking for an experienced Hardware Developer for a freelance assignment in Gentofte. The company develops advanced hardware and software solutions for professional audio and broadcast environments and is known for its high-quality and innovative technology platforms.
About the role
As a freelance Hardware Developer, you will join a small, specialized R&D team working on digital hardware and FPGA design for next-generation professional audio products.
You will collaborate closely with software and embedded engineers to create reliable and high-performance designs for global broadcast and music production applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop digital hardware for professional audio interfaces
- Design and implement FPGA solutions (Intel/Xilinx)
- Create electronic schematics and documentation (OrCAD)
- Integrate audio-over-IP technologies such as Dante and Ravenna
- Collaborate with software and system engineers throughout the development cycle
Your profile
You are an experienced digital hardware designer with strong FPGA skills and a solid understanding of embedded systems. You thrive in a hands-on, collaborative environment and enjoy working across disciplines.
We expect that you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in digital hardware and FPGA development
- Are proficient in VHDL or Verilog for Intel/Xilinx platforms
- Have experience with schematic design in OrCAD
- Understand electronic circuit design and integration
- Ideally have knowledge of Ethernet technology and audio/broadcast systems
Assignment details
- Location: Gentofte, Denmark (hybrid work possible)
- Start: By agreement, Q4 2025 / Q1 2026
- Duration: 6–12 months, with possible extension
- Scope: Full-time freelance contract
