Are you passionate about patient safety and motivated to contribute to high-quality pharmacovigilance operations? Pharmacosmos is now looking for two Drug Safety Associates – one experienced and one early in their career – to join our Global Drug Safety Operations team in Holbæk.

You will join the Global Drug Safety Operations team, currently consisting of five colleagues, and be part of the wider Global Drug Safety organization of 16 dedicated professionals. The team works closely together in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, ensuring patient safety is managed accurately and in compliance with global regulations.
The position reports to the Director, Drug Safety Operations.
The role
As Drug Safety Associate, you will take part in a wide variety of operational pharmacovigilance tasks tailored to your level of experience.
Typical responsibilities include:
- End-to-end case processing of individual case safety reports (ICSRs)
- Monitoring of the global safety mailbox and handling of incoming reports
- Reconciliation of safety data with affiliates and partners
- Regulatory reporting within timelines
If you are the experienced candidate (3–5 years of PV experience), you will additionally:
- Handle complex case processing including medical evaluation and quality control
- Support clinical trial activities including SAE and SUSAR data entry
- Act as sparring partner to colleagues and affiliates
- Take independent responsibility in daily operations and contribute to audits, inspections, and SOP updates
Comprehensive training will be provided according to your background, combining side-by-side learning with a colleague and structured SOP training.
Your profile
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented candidates who thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong interest in patient safety.
Depending on your experience, you may be earlier in your PV career (around 1 year) or bring 3–5 years of solid pharmacovigilance experience.
In addition, you:
- Hold a relevant educational background (e.g. nurse, pharmaconomist, medical secretary, or other life/health science discipline)
- Work systematically with attention to detail and structure
- Are a supportive team player who can also work independently
- Feel confident using IT systems and databases (experience with HALOPV or similar systems is an advantage)
Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
