Senior System Manager

Anonym virksomhed / Fuldtid

Would you like to be the key person that troubleshoots and has the daily hands-on responsibility for maintaining a large laboratory system that needs to be in sync? And do you have an interest in working in a team that supports the automatization of research processes? Then this position could be for you!

Research & Early Developement IT

You will be a part of the Research & Early Development IT (R&ED IT) Research Lab Solutions team which is an entirely new department within R&ED IT anchored in Global IT. Our department consists of 10 people, and they help the research laboratories with their day-to-day IT challenges on their Laboratory IT systems, sparring & procurement, digitalization and automation. With an ambitious digital agenda, they wish to drive new IT initiatives in a dynamic working environment that supports an increasing number of drug candidates and an agile way of working.

The department has close links to all research sites but anchored at the Måløv site. R&ED IT Research Lab Solutions will have many roles supporting scientists and lab technicians incl. the LabDroid system.

As this is an entirely new department within Global IT, the opportunity to develop and nurture your skills as well as take part in shaping the future of the team is very high.

About the LaDroid system

At this company, they have an almost 100-year history of working with biologics and a long track record of designing novel and innovative therapeutics. Their success is building on decades of experience with molecule classes like insulin, GLP-1, or blood coagulation factors.

Their ambition for diversification into new areas, however, has created a need for generating an understanding of therapeutic targets much faster than before. Therefore, they have established the LabDroid system, which is a fully automated platform for the high-through generation and characterization of molecules. The system includes a scheduling software and various lab instruments, that consists of +10 servers, and +50 control PCs.

Senior System Manager

Your main responsibility will be to drive upgrades of the LabDroid system incl. updating and creating sufficient system documentation so the system can be easily restored in case of breakdown. You will also take part in hands-on 2nd & 3rd line support, as well as improving, developing and maintaining the support process. Dialogue with many stakeholders both internally in Global IT, R&ED and externally is also a natural part of this role.

Furthermore, you will be working in close collaboration with your colleagues and different stakeholders in order to maintain and operate the LabDroid platform on a daily basis.

Qualifications as a Senior System Manager

As a person, you are structured and value planning. You are service-minded, solution-oriented, and have solid English communication skills both orally and written. Furthermore, you have a good general knowledge of components, infrastructure, and experience in driving upgrades of larger systems. Lastly, you are a team player that thrives in an international setup where you can support stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Besides that, you:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or another relevant discipline e.g. within another science discipline.
  • have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • have experience with larger and complex IT systems.
  • have an experience in system documentation.

It would be an advantage if you:

  • are familiar with ServiceNow
  • have experience with stakeholder management on a global level
