Product builder, AI Agents
Document Drafter / Full-time
What if building software was less about writing code and more about understanding what should be built? Are you excited by the possibilities of AI agents and motivated by turning complex user problems into products that make a real difference?
Document Drafter is looking for an experienced Product Builder to help shape and develop the next generation of AI-powered LegalTech solutions.
At Document Drafter, AI is already deeply embedded in the development process, with AI coding agents writing approximately 99% of the code. This creates a different approach to software development, where understanding user problems, making the right product decisions and ensuring the quality of the final solution are just as important as technical expertise.
You will work closely with founders, fellow builders and domain experts to develop and integrate AI agents into existing products and workflows. From understanding the initial problem to building, verifying and shipping the final solution, you will take ownership of the entire process.
Build products, not just features
As Product Builder, you will join a highly product-oriented environment where development does not necessarily begin with a detailed specification or a predefined backlog.
Some challenges will be clearly defined, while others may start with a single sentence describing a user problem. Your responsibility is to explore the problem, challenge assumptions and determine how to turn it into a valuable product solution.
You will have significant influence on both product decisions and how AI agents are developed, integrated and used throughout the development process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving product initiatives end-to-end, from initial problem definition to production and continuous improvement.
- Building and integrating AI agents as features within Document Drafter’s products.
- Using AI coding agents to develop, test and verify software across the full stack.
- Understanding user needs and translating complex workflows into valuable product solutions.
- Experimenting with new agent-based approaches, development methods and AI capabilities.
- Ensuring that solutions meet high standards of accuracy, reliability and product quality.
- Collaborating closely with founders, fellow builders and domain experts to shape product decisions and solutions.
An important part of the role is knowing when to trust AI-generated output and when additional verification is necessary. Document Drafter’s customers depend on reliable and accurate solutions, making sound technical judgement and product understanding essential.
Strong engineering capabilities and a product mindset
Document Drafter is looking for an experienced software engineer who has already embraced AI-first development and enjoys building products that solve real user problems.
You combine strong technical capabilities with curiosity, ownership and an understanding of what makes a successful software product. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and can independently turn loosely defined challenges into working solutions.
Ideally, you bring:
- Approximately 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, although demonstrated capabilities and drive matter more than a specific number of years.
- Strong full-stack capabilities and practical experience using AI agents in software development.
- Hands-on experience building and launching AI agents as actual product features.
- A proven ability to take product features from initial idea through development to production.
- Experience developing software products for external customers and bringing solutions to market.
- A strong product mindset and genuine interest in understanding users, workflows and business needs.
- The ability to navigate uncertainty, make technical decisions and take ownership of delivery.
- Strong communication skills in English and experience collaborating with different stakeholders.
Experience with .NET/C#, React/TypeScript or complex software solutions is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Document Drafter’s technology landscape includes these technologies alongside Azure DevOps and AI development tools. However, experience with the exact technology stack is less important than your ability to use AI agents effectively to build and deliver high-quality software.
Your educational background is not decisive. Practical experience, technical judgement and a demonstrated ability to build and ship products carry greater weight.
Join a team redefining how software is built
You will become part of Document Drafter’s product builder organisation, consisting of seven AI engineers. Within this organisation, a dedicated team of currently two builders focuses specifically on developing and shipping AI agent features.
The environment is collaborative, ambitious and characterised by a high degree of ownership. Engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge established approaches and participate actively in product decisions.
Rather than working through narrowly defined development tickets, you will work closely with colleagues and founders to understand user problems and determine the best solutions.
With a relatively small and experienced organisation, you will have a direct influence on the products being developed and the methods used to build them.
The team primarily works together from the Copenhagen office, where close collaboration and spontaneous problem-solving are important parts of everyday work.
