Pharmacosmos is seeking a skilled and proactive Analytical Equipment Specialist to strengthen the QC department and help ensure the quality and compliance of their laboratory equipment.

About the department
The QC department at Pharmacosmos consists of 27 dedicated employees, including chemists, laboratory technicians, and specialists. The department is responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure that Pharmacosmos’ products comply with applicable quality standards and specifications. This includes qualification, requalification, and validation of analytical equipment, which are integral parts of the department’s daily operations.

About the job
As an Analytical Equipment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in upgrading and qualifying major analytical equipment in the QC laboratory. Your expertise in equipment qualification, validation, and compliance will be key in ensuring operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with laboratory technicians, analytical chemists, and the specialist responsible for Part 11 compliance.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Qualify large analytical equipment in QC in alignment with updated regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate closely laboratory technicians, analytical chemists and the Part 11 responsible chemist to maintain compliance standards.
- Assess and prioritize requirements to distinguish between essential and optional elements.
- Represent QC in cross-functional projects, such as qualifying laboratory equipment at CMOs, supporting equipment selection for development activities, or introducing new analytical techniques.
- Handle daily QC tasks, including equipment troubleshooting and supervising external technicians.
- Contribute to general laboratory activities and step into roles outside your primary expertise as needed.
About you
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven expertise in equipment qualification, covering the full process from URS development to validation planning, qualification, and decommissioning.
- A thorough understanding of current guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Experience managing and delivering larger assignments.
- Strong collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively across teams.
