About the team
You will join a growing software development team currently consisting of six engineers, with plans to expand further.
The team works across technologies such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React and is characterized by a collaborative culture with strong knowledge sharing and collective ownership.
The team is at an exciting stage, with ambitions to strengthen technical direction, engineering practices, and overall quality as they scale.
About the role
As Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the local development team while ensuring alignment with global engineering functions.
The role combines technical leadership with hands-on involvement, where you contribute directly to development tasks and projects while driving execution, structure, and quality.
You will work closely with global stakeholders and ensure that development activities are aligned with strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Your responsibilities
Software Development Management
- Lead and manage the local software development team
- Drive development and delivery of the company’s software platform
- Ensure alignment with global engineering objectives and processes
- Collaborate with global teams on architecture and technical decisions
- Drive execution of development plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
- Maintain high standards for documentation and development practices
- Support resource planning and team performance
Operational responsibilities
- Support local operational activities and ensure alignment with global functions
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding, development, and team support
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Ensure strong communication across teams and stakeholders
Your profile
You have a strong technical background combined with leadership experience and enjoy working in a hands-on role.
In addition, you
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
- Have experience leading or contributing to software development initiatives
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Are able to balance technical leadership with operational responsibilities
- Have strong communication and coordination skills
- Are fluent in English
Experience from regulated industries such as MedTech, Pharma, or healthcare is an advantage.
